The first EUROAVIA Napoli Modelling Workshop, in which 20 students, divided into 4 teams, had to put their skills to the test and create a fully functional Airplane Model. The contest was divided into two phases: april 26-27 the teams we’re given a series of lectures that introduced them to the world of aeromodelling and from may 3-6 they spent their time within the University Building their model aircraft. Finally the event ended on may 14th, when the planes were put to the test at the Campo Volo.
Contents: lectures, design editing, crafting and flying.
In this workshop, you will have the opportunity to design and build a spoiler with the implementation of CFD and structural calculations. The competition involves the participation of 24 students, divided into 4 teams. The training phase, held by professors from the University, will be followed by the design and construction phase in which the teams will receive the necessary materials to build a spoiler model guided by the organising team.
The final phase of the event is the Test Phase, which will take place in the laboratories of the Department of Aerospace Engineering using THE WIND TUNNEL !
The results and design choices will be described in a technical report and evaluated by a panel of experts.
In addition, a certificate of participation will be issued at the end of this event!
Where
The event will take place in the second half of May 2024 at the University of Naples ‘Federico II’ (Piazzale Tecchio) and at the UninaCorse site in Poggioreale
Deadline
The form will close on 9 May at 8 p.m.
Thesis opportunity
There is the possibility of using the final report as a bachelor’s thesis depending on the professor’s availability
