The first EUROAVIA Napoli Modelling Workshop, in which 20 students, divided into 4 teams, had to put their skills to the test and create a fully functional Airplane Model. The contest was divided into two phases: april 26-27 the teams we’re given a series of lectures that introduced them to the world of aeromodelling and from may 3-6 they spent their time within the University Building their model aircraft. Finally the event ended on may 14th, when the planes were put to the test at the Campo Volo.
Contents: lectures, design editing, crafting and flying.

26/04: Introduction of the event, partners presentation and initial theory lectures. onRaffaele Aucelli introduced the event, the schedule. Afterwhich were held two lectures: airplane components and design strategies ;

27/04: Basic theory lessons. Professors Fabrizio Nicolosi and Danilo Ciliberti introduced the participants to model aircraft aerodynamics and flight mechanics. Furthermore, giving them an insight on the powerful design tool OpenVSP. Then the staff held a presentation on aeromodelling construction;

03-06/05: Construction. The participants at this point started construction, aided by the staff;

06/05: Report delivery deadline. This document had to contain all the details about the decision making and the information about their work;

14/05: Flight test and report presentation day .
